the UK was and still is very difficult. We had a week left in the RCI space bank to use up so took a late
exchange to Clowance.
We broke the journey to Cornwall, stopping overnight at a travel Lodge. It was the first week in December so we had no great expectations of good weather, but I have to say it turned out very nice. It was warm, and we rarely needed a jacket. Our accomodation was a luxurious “A” style chalet. The bathroom had a steam sauna annexed to it, plus a shower room. My baby daughter was provided with a cot. Of the three bedrooms we slept in the largest. Annexed to the main bedroom was an on suite bathroom. The kitchen boasted the finest in dishwashers and microwaves and was very well appointed in crockery and utensils. Above the kitchen was a third bedroom on a minstrels gallery which overlooked the lounge area. Bang and Ollsen stereo equipment and luxury ornaments, plus so many glasses we would never be using, finished it off VERY NICELY indeed. Outside a barbeque area was provided, although being December and not fans of barbeque we didn't use it. The grounds of the House were available to us to walk around, and it was delightful to walk around their lake and see the ducks. We spent many hours in the indoor heated swimming pool and our baby daughter had a chance to become water confident. ADW - December 1995. I have been going to Clowance since I was 7, I am now 17 and I am still totally looking forward every year to going. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, there is so much to do around the site. Accommodation is amazing; plenty of space and fully equipped. You are never to far from a beach or a decent pub. Leanne (email address withheld.) Jul 07. Clowance Comment Form |
