Constantly evolving tool for images, sounds, etc, version 3.97 released April 2005. I have been using this since like, forever, and I can claim to have had a hand in its development since at least one of my suggestions was implemented. What this FREE product does, is give you the opportunity to view virtually any type of image file, mix them together in a slide show, allow you to quickly whiz through virtually any picture or music types accumulating on your hard drive, gives you the dimensions of gifs and jpegs, vital for your< IMG > tags. It can do loads of things with pictures.

JPEG OPTIMIZER
JPEGS or .JPG files can be a lot smaller in file size than you think. Most I have seen on the web are at least twice as big as they need to be. That means more time downloading the images and more time for visitors to give up and click elsewhere. This is a FREE program that cuts down the file size in an instant without cutting down the visual quality needed on most web pages. Look out for JPEG OPTIMIZER at Download.com
JimTools JimTools WAS a great set of FREE tools for web page creation. All things evolve, and this seems to be evolving down the commercial root, especially since Jim died. However, give it a try. -- with HTML codes, c o l o r code tables, oh and so many useful bits and pieces that you simply MUST check it out. I say promising because additional tools are being created all the time. When you need to submit your web site to the search engines, directories and FFA sites there is/was a FREE submitter tool.

TEXTPAD
I tend to use Textpad quite a lot these days to edit my web pages. Colour codes tags, allows multiple changes to multiple pages simultaneously, quickly insert tags, edit tags, spell chcecker (not that I use sepllchekcer much !), macros, right click to view html code in browser window, etc.Textpad
